SAHCO deploys state-of-the-art GSE to boost Port Harcourt operations

Nigerian ground handler Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) has deployed a state-of-the-art ground support equipment (GSE) to boost operations at its Port Harcourt station, reports claim.

The Guardian Nigeria reports that the GSE is a high loader Air Marrel (LAM 35) which has a capacity of 35 tonnes and is self-propelled heavy-duty main deck loader that also has the capacity to load and offload containers up to 40 tonnes.

The loader provides a clear deck for the loading and offloading of oversized loads, which is also able to operate under severe weather and is suitable for use of lower deck to handle pallets and can be used for widebody aircraft like the Airbus A380 and Boeing 777.

The GSE was built by French GSE manufacturer Air Marrel, which exports cargo loaders and transporters.

SAHCO provides ramp handling, passenger handling, cargo handling and other aviation ground services at all commercially operated airports across Nigeria.
