A cargo aircraft operated by SkyLease Cargo skidded off the runway at Halifax International Airport in Canada yesterday morning putting four crew members in the hospital and covering the runway with debris.

The Toronto Sun reported that it wasn’t clear what caused the accident, according to a spokesperson from the airline.

A spokesperson for the airline stated that the plane “overshot the runway”.

Four members of the crew were transported to the hospital with “minor injuries” the spokesperson stated.

From pictures taken at the scene, it looks that the nose of the aircraft was damaged and the underside of the plane looked to be damaged significantly too.
