ADB SAFEGATE readies to support airports on their road to recovery

At inter airport Europe 2021, ADB SAFEGATE’s ‘Smarter Together’ theme will showcase how the company is helping airports chart a smoother recovery using smart technology and actionable insights to deliver a superior operational performance, while adapting easily to meet changing demands. The company’s latest solutions and services for the airfield, gate, tower and terminal leverage digital technologies such as wireless communication, smart sensors and cloud- and web-based mobile systems to bring a step change in airport operations.

“Aviation is moving forward after the coronavirus pandemic, one of the world’s biggest challenges in recent times. To tackle the fluidity our industry is demanding, our customers need smart technologies and real-time insights that enable them to react quickly and make better decisions,” said Laurent Dubois, CEO, ADB SAFEGATE. “We’ve made exciting changes in the last year including significant investments in talent, research and development, a stronger supply chain and an expanded manufacturing footprint – and we are ready to support our customers through this crisis and toward a bright future for aviation.”

ADB SAFEGATE’s stand (stand 1320, Hall B5) at inter airport Europe 2021 in Munich, 9-12 November, will feature a range of solutions and services across the airfield, gate, tower, airport systems and services, which support a smarter restart of airport operations.

Visitors to the booth can sign up for a free instance of ALIS, ADB SAFEGATE’s new cloud-based airside asset management tool. ALIS brings airfield maintenance into the digital era, helping airports plan and schedule airside asset maintenance easily and effectively, and enables accurate tracking and reporting to reduce downtime and significantly boost operational availability.

The booth will feature an airfield simulator presentation demonstrating operational improvements around runway safety, ground movements, and management of hotspots supported by ADB SAFEGATE products or systems.

Key product demonstrations include:

New intelligent inset lights, based on ADB SAFEGATE’s Airfield 4.0 vision. Lights are equipped with smart sensors that connect to the newly launched LINC 360 (LINC stands for Localized Intelligence Network Communications). LINC 360 connects seamlessly with sensors across the airfield, such as those installed in the lights, to provide a 360-degree, real-time view of the airfield status to aid quick, accurate decision making.

ADB SAFEGATE’s next generation Safedock X Advanced Visual Docking Guidance System (A-VDGS) and new mobile, web-based SafeControl Apron Management (SAM) that support a more elastic operation to help airports and airlines easily and quickly scale up or down to meet changing demand. Users can interact with the system via a mobile device when overseeing the turnaround progress to ensure high performance.

OneControl, ADB SAFEGATE’s next level Integrated Controller Working Position that offers a single-screen display of all the data air traffic and apron controllers need in their daily work. OneControl’s new capabilities such as advanced safety net solutions, integrated workflow support and enhanced routing and guidance ensure controllers get the vital information they need, clearly and at the right time, without distraction.

AS-Vision, ADB SAFEGATE’s mobile, web-based Airport Management System and A-CDM platform. Airports and their stakeholders can anticipate change and decide what’s best, using accurate, real-time data in fluid situations, to maintain a reliable passenger experience.
