A Star Alliance aircraft was photographed on fire at Frankfurt Airport recently as a truck towing it burst into flames.
The Airbus A340, operated by Star Alliance on behalf of Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines and Brussels Airlines sustained what looks like considerable fire damage after the tow burst into flames.
The aircraft was leaving the German airport this morning when the tug caught fire with the flames spreading to the plane.
It was reported by Gulf News that ten people had been slightly injured following the incident. The aircraft was empty but ten people were treated for respiratory irritations.
Photographs below on a social media post by JACDEC show the extent of the damage.
