Auckland Airport has announced the appointment of Anna Cassels-Brown as its new general manager of operations.
She will begin the role on 1 May this year and has previously worked at Fonterra, Air New Zealand, Refining NZ and Landcorp.
The gateway’s chief executive, Adrian Littlewood said: “Anna will be responsible for the operation of New Zealand’s largest airport, and a team who are focused on providing the best possible experience for our airline and individual customers.
“She will play a lead role in working with our many airport partners, maintaining a significant asset base as well as managing our emergency response capability. As important, however, Anna will lead the operations team in planning for a future where Auckland Airport’s operations are world class in every respect.
“For the past three years, Anna has been a member of the executive team and has led Auckland Airport’s People and Safety function, which included oversight of the company’s activity as a good employer and neighbour.”
Cassels-Brown said: “I am very much looking forward to this new challenge and to leading the safe and secure operation of the airport on a day-to-day basis.
“I am particularly thrilled to have the opportunity to work with and inspire a talented team to deliver the best possible customer experience during a period of significant investment and change.”
