Birmingham Airport has announced the loss of Primera Air’s short-haul operation, which includes Alicante, Tenerife, Las Palma, Reykjavik and Malaga.
The airline, based in Scandinavia, announced the decision based on a ‘capacity’ issue.
Flights to Palma de Mallorca and Barcelona will be the first to cancelled, as routes cease to commence on September 3rd.
All services will be cancelled by the end of September, leaving Birmingham without the Scandinavia carrier for the Autumn and the future.
The airline apoligised for any inconvenience that the cancellations will cause.
