Brisbane Airport Corporation appoints new Executive General Manager

Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) has announced the appointment of Scott Douglas as its new Executive General Manager, effective as of August 2019.

Douglas joins Brisbane Airport from QIC Global Real Estate, a subsidiary of Queensland Investment Corporation, where he was employed as investment general manager.

“With 500 hectares of developable land located at the cross-roads of some of Queensland’s most important arterial roads, and just minutes from the CBD, Brisbane Airport is a strategic development site for a vast array of businesses,” said BAC CEO Gert-Jan De Graaff.

“Scott will also lead a number of BAC projects including the expansion of the retail and office precinct at Skygate and BNE Auto Mall, which are two substantial projects currently underway on site.”

Douglas spent 16 years at QIC overall, holding positions such as property portfolio investments manager and national development manager, and also spent some years at Westfield as a development executive.

Put together, Douglas’ experience in the property industry adds up to 25 years in total, with time shared between asset management, development management and funds management.

“We look forward to Scott bringing his vision and significant skill to the challenge of how to best develop this land for the benefit of the community and the many industries that use Brisbane Airport,” added de Graaff.
