Delta operational recovery after winter storm in mid-Atlantic and Northeast

Delta teams are planning for an operational recovery after a winter storm brought snow to the mid-Atlantic and Northeast this week (February 19).

The airline cancelled around 250 Delta and Delta Connection regional flights, as a result of winter weather, which spanned from the Upper Midwest up into the New England area.

Delta issued a weather waiver for cities in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. A weather waiver also remains in effect for cities in the path of the winter system as it continues east, bringing snow to the DC and New York metro areas.

The waiver allows customers with travel scheduled flights, through cities in the New York metros and Washington airports, allowing them to make a change to their travel plans without incurring a fee.
