easyJet: Passenger says he was forced off flight ‘at gunpoint’

A retired doctor flying with easyJet has stated he was forced off a flight in Amsterdam with machine guns pointed at him by armed police officers.

Sam Ramsey Smith, 72, was flying back to London following treatment for a medical condition in the Dutch city. The passenger had reportedly pad for extra legroom, which he said he did not receive.

After becoming “violent and aggressive” according to reports and a statement by the airline itself, the man was reportedly led off the plane by armed officers with firearms drawn.

The airline stated the reason that Smith’s seat was taken was due to the fact he had changed his flight at the last minute.

easyJet stated that Smith had become verbally abusive to crew during boarding and had assaulted the cabin manager.
