Exeter Airport begins construction of new boarding gate area

Exeter Airport in the UK, has begun construction on a new boarding gate area in preparation for a busy 2019, which will see the first ever series of flights from Ryanair.

Initial ground works are underway for the construction of the new boarding area and a passenger pre-flight waiting area is being built alongside the current boarding gates with a new entrance from the departure lounge.

The project of improvements, which will be completed within six weeks, will not only take place on the adjacent piece of land, but will include a linking corridor from the main terminal with changes to the existing facility.

A spokesperson from Exeter Airport said that during this time of construction there could be some disruption, but the scheme will allow the airport to provide a smoother boarding operation once completed.
