Gazpromneft-Aero to provide aircraft refuelling services at new Russian airport

Gazpromneft subsidiary Gazpromneft-Aero has begun providing regular refuelling services for flights at the new Gagarin international airport in Saratov, Russia.

The aviation fuel company says it has received all the necessary licenses and permits to operate the ‘wing-tip’ refuelling services it offers at the airport.

“Gagarin has become the 60th airport in the Gazpromneft-Aero refueling network in Russia and the 280th in the company’s global network,” said Vladimir Yegorov, CEO of Gazpromneft-Aero.

“We pride ourselves in providing our Russian and international airline clients with the same level of technical support and service at all airports – regardless of their location – which is fully compliant with the domestic and international standards for fuel storage and aircraft refuelling.”

The new international airport can accommodate medium-range and long-range aircraft and currently receives flights from Aeroflot, S7, Pegas Fly, Rusline and UTair, flying to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi and Surgut, amongst other cities.

It has a capacity of one million passengers per year and has the potential to increase this up to two and a half million passengers.
