Ground Team Red achieves ISAGO certification

Ground handling service provider Ground Team Red has announced its successful completion of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO).

The company, a joint venture between low-cost carrier AirAsia Berhad, and gateway services provider SATS Ltd, has received accreditation for its headquarters and station at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

“Congratulations to Ground Team Red Sdn Bhd (GTR) for achieving ISAGO registration,” said Conrad Clifford, IATA’s Regional Vice President for Asia-Pacific.

“By joining the ISAGO registry, GTR is demonstrating a commitment to operating to globally-accepted industry best practices for ground operations.”

The ISAGO audit model, which was updated in 2017, places an emphasis on putting into place standards for processes and procedures in all types of ground service provider operations.

The five ISAGO standards that Ground Team Red were audited on were: Organisation and Management (ORM), Aircraft Handling and Loading (HDL), Aircraft Ground Movement (AGM), Load Control (LOD) and Passenger and Baggage Handling (PAB).

“A first for Ground Team Red after acquiring the RA3 certification, this certification will further our goal to revolutionise how ground operations services are delivered,” said Ground Team Red CEO Kevin Chin.

“The certification also demonstrates our priority commitment to adhering to IATA’s international standards for airport operations.”
