London airports experience busiest ever November

London airports London Luton Airport (LLA) and London Stansted Airport have had their busiest ever Novembers and are bracing themselves for a busy Christmas.

LLA experienced an 11.5 per cent increase in passenger numbers in November compared to the year before, as more than 1.1 million passengers travelled through the airport.

Passengers travelling through the airport in December will benefit from an upgraded terminal, which includes an expanded security search area and expanded retail area.

A record breaking 1.98 million passengers passed through London Stansted Airport in November, up 8.7 per cent on 2017, ahead of what is expected to be the airport’s busiest ever festive season.

Traffic was boosted by the recent arrival of new airlines launching new services including Laudamotion’s twice daily flights to Vienna and Pobeda Airlines’ four flights a week to Saint Petersburg.

The 12-month moving total now stands at over 27.8 million, an increase of 7.3 per cent over the previous year.
