The National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) has announced the appointment of John Binder, deputy commissioner of Alaska’s Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF), as its new chair.
As Deputy Commissioner of Aviation for DOT&PF, Binder leads Ted Stevens Anchorage and Fairbanks international airports, along with 237 state owned airports across Alaska.
“I congratulate John for this achievement,” said DOT&PF Commissioner John MacKinnon. “The NASAO organization is a huge advocate for airport funding in America and having John leading this board is good for aviation in Alaska.”
The announcement of the 2019 – 2020 board – comprised of state aviation directors – was made at NASAO’s 88th Annual Convention & Trade Show in St. Paul, Minnesota, with Binder selected as the board’s chair.
