New York governor proposes $34 million bid to modernize regional airport

Andrew M. Cuomo, governor of New York, has proposed a bid of $34 million in an effort to expand and modernize Stewart International airport, based in Orange County, NY.

The Port Authority of NY and NJ has been called upon by the politician to approve the substantial investment into the airport.

The investment into the airport, which is becoming increasingly busy and important to the region, will allow wider access from the wider New York state area and city, according to plans. It may also undergo a rebrand.
