Port Authority at JFK airport announces changes in response to operational issues during storm

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has announced a number of changes at JFK airport in response to operational issues faced due to winter storms recently.

The Port Authority’s Executive Director Rick Cotton will look at addressing operational failures at the airport during such conditions seen recently as stormy weather disrupted operations.

The PANYNJ has stated that one of these measures is to set up a Emergency Operations Centre.

Issues such as inbound traffic, gate availability, wait times and communication will also be addressed.
