Ryanair, Wizz Air’s luggage policies probed by Italy’s antitrust

The antitrust body in Italy is reportedly opening a probe into the hand baggage policies of both Ryanair and Wizz Air in the country.

Reuters reported that the regulatory body has asked the two airlines to suspend its baggage policies which includes charging passengers for the use of trolleys and only permits passengers to take small items on board.

Ryanair and Wizz Air could face action due to both airlines not properly recognising the suspension of the policies.

Following the probe, both airlines could be hit with sanctions in the amount of 5 million euros.
