Shell Aviation and DCC to supply fuel at seven airports across Denmark

Shell Aviation and DCC Holding Denmark A/S have agreed to form a branded marketing and distribution business that will supply aviation fuels at seven airports across Denmark.

DCC and Shell Aviation Denmark A/S will be the largest independent supplier of aviation fuel in the country, serving Denmark’s busiest airports by passenger numbers including Billund, Aalborg and the Scandinavian hub airport of Copenhagen.

Shell Aviation already serves customers at airports across Norway, Sweden and Finland. With its entry into Denmark, the company now offers an extensive refuelling network across the Nordic region.

Adam Harrison, general manager of Shell Aviation Europe and Africa, said: “We understand that it’s important for our customers that we are available to them, not just at certain airports, but across entire regions.”

Customers at the seven airports will benefit from fuel supply security backed by Shell’s integrated supply chains and global jet trading network. Customers will also gain access to product quality assurance via Shell’s Fuel Quality Assurance System; professional account management providing a single focal point for fuel requirements across Shell’s global network.

Christian Heise, chief executive officer of DCC Holding Denmark A/S, added: “The airports that we serve across Denmark continue to see strong growth and, with our combined capabilities, we believe that we are well positioned to support them on this journey.”
