Southwest Airlines plane struck by truck on apron at Baltimore airport

A Southwest Airlines plane was recently struck by a pickup truck on the apron at Balitmore-Washington International Airport as the plane pulled into its gate.

It was reported that no injuries were caused on the plane – a Boeing 737 – when the incident happened. The plane was pulling into dock after arriving from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Southwest Airlines commented on the incident in a Tweet, stating: “Southwest Flight 6263 with scheduled service from Ft. Lauderdale to Baltimore was pulling into the gate at Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) when a ground vehicle came into contact with the aircraft.

There are no reported injuries of the 172 passengers.”
