SpiceJet, the low-cost airline operating out of India, has announced it has operated the first ever test flight using biofuel in the country recently.
On August 27th, the airline stated a Bombardier Q400 it operates completed the test flight using biofuel.
The flight, as noted by the airline, took from Dehradun and landed in Dehli on the same day.
According to SpiceJet, the flight was powered by a fuel blend of 75% air turbine fuel and 25% biojet fuel.
The airline noted it is the first airline in the country to operate such a flight.
