Star Alliance users to use VR entertainment in Paris and Rome

Star Alliance and Inflight VR have partnered on a new entertainment offering in lounges at Paris and Rome airports on a trial basis.

In a post originally written by the VR company and shared by the lounge provider, it was stated: “For 12 weeks from the end of October 2018 until the end of January 2019, Star Alliance will trial Inflight VR’s virtual reality entertainment solution in its Paris Aéroport – Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Terminal 1 and Aeroporti di Roma – Fiumicino Rome airport lounges.

Six portable Pico Goblin headsets will be available in each lounge for passengers to use wherever they wish, offering viewers a range of short films, destination experiences, games and meditation content.

“The diversity of our content makes it not just a great entertainment for any passenger group, but the interaction and the feeling of being immersed in a whole new world which is created around the user is mind-blowing for them,” says Raphael Baumann, chief commercial officer, Inflight VR.
