Strikes across Spanish airports called off following talks

Strikes due to take place at Spanish airports have been cancelled ‘at the last minute’ following a round of negotiating talks, it has emerged.

The strike action by ground handler employees was due to cause ‘chaos’ at airports in the country before an agreement was reached between the USO Air Sector, CCOO and the unions that represent the workers.

Sixty-thousand employees are represented by the unions involved.

The strikes were set to go ahead on October 15th unless an agreement was reached.
