Sydney Airport invests in wind energy

Sydney Airport is aiming to further reduce its carbon footprint by investing in the use of wind energy.

The airport has recently signed a contract with Crudine Ridge, a nearby wind farm, meaning that 75% of the airport’s power supply will now be generated from the farm.

300m Australian dollars is the amount that it costs to run the farm, which is south of Mudgee. The farm is expected to become operational next year.
