Turkish Cargo to begin operations from Istanbul New Airport next week

Turkish Cargo is to begin its operation out of Istanbul’s New Airport on October 29 2018 with a ceremony planned for the occasion.

The cargo arm of the Turkish carrier stated: “Istanbul New Airport which will make Turkey become a global center of logistics, will be opening on October 29th, 2018 with a stunning ceremony.

Turkish Cargo will continue all of its world-class cargo operations from Istanbul Atatürk Airport with the same standards and quality until December 31st, 2018.

After December 31st 2018; all belly hold cargo will be shipped from the Istanbul New Airport and freighters flights will continue to be operated from Istanbul Atatürk Airport.

Our new hub in Istanbul, the logistics center of the world, with the completion of the new airport will allow us to serve our clients even better than previously with its 165,000 m² usage area.

We will have a terminal with a capacity of 2 million tons per year upon completion of the first phase of construction, and 4 million tons per year after the second phase is completed.

We are designing higher quality and more efficient processes with diversified special cargo areas allowing for di_erentiated services for product groups.

Our Mega Hub will be the air cargo terminal to integrate artificial intelligence into the operational process once the PCHS and ASRS systems are fully installed.

With investments and our ever-growing fleet, we’re taking confident steps towards our goal of becoming one of the top 5 brands in the air cargo industry”.
