UK CAA in recruitment drive due to Brexit concerns

The UK’s Civil Aviation Authority is set to conduct a recruitment drive to find 60 more staff members due to concerns regarding Brexit and the event of a ‘no deal’ during its negotiations.

The CAA in the UK wants to hire the new recruits in case flights are grounded when the UK leaves EU – whenever that finally occurs.

Sky News reported that the Department for Transport met with figures in the aviation industry earlier this week to discuss the proceedings in which warnings over flying arrangements have been clearly vocalised.

The CAA has stressed a concern over the UK’s role in EASA and how the authority will issue safety certificates post-Brexit.
