United aircraft hit by truck at Washington Dulles Airport

A United Airlines aircraft was recently ht by a fuel truck on the ramp at Washington Dulles Airport causing damage to the plane’s left engine.

The Boeing 777 was reportedly parked and stationary at Gate D5 at the US airport when the fuel truck crashed into the plane earlier this week.

As reported by WJLA, local news, the plane’s left engine was damaged. The casing was reportedly the significant aspect of damage.

There was no passengers on board the plane at the time the incident occurred and no injuries were recorded.

United Airlines stated: ““The vehicle of a vendor servicing United 915 from Washington Dulles to Paris accidentally made contact with the Boeing 777 aircraft.

No customers were onboard the aircraft when this occurred. The flight will experience a slight delay as we swap aircraft. We apologize to our customers for the delay”.
