United Airlines to invest $200m in Hawaii airports

Airports in Hawaii are to receive an investment and upgrade courtesy of United Airlines to the sum of $200m.

Over the next ten years, United Airlines will invest $200m into the airports in the South Pacific island.

United CEO, Oscar Munoz, has said that the investment will be tailored towards modernising the airports and giving employees better resources.

United is expecting to have close to 12,000 flights operating in the island this year alone, so there is definitely scope to build on its presence in Hawaii through airport infrastructure.
